(Shyamalan was talking about this in the Unbreakable trilogy. If we don't initially self-destruct (about a 50:50 IF, as far as I've heard), we usually end up being the boring, but necessary person in the group who makes The Good Choices. Survivors help anchor the world in key ways. I absolutely do not believe an early "death" has to permanently ruin someone, but you never get to live in denial the way most people do a lot of their lives. I'm now in my 60s and I see neighbors my age wrestling with issues I dealt with decades ago, simply because they're now at the point where they're realizing they're really, really going to die someday. It's one of those watershed changes that never leaves. I'll spare you the long version, but I was subjected to frequent violence as a child and teen, and when I was 14 I was certain I was going to be killed. Just comparing body shapes/silhouettes would be helpful, I suspect.ΔΆ. Looking at Chadwell's photo and the Bridge Guy image capture, what strikes me is Chadwell's sloping shoulders and how that fits *really* well with Bridge Guy.
